PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES UPRAA sponsors charitable, cultural, and networking activities to its membership and guests. UPRAA also hosts fund raising activities to support its scholarship funds, charitable activities, and costs associated with membership events. UPRAA programs and activities are currently offered at locations within the Washington, DC metropolitan area. ELIGIBILITY FOR MEMBERSHIPUPRAA welcomes Alumni from the 11 Campuses of the UPR educational system: Aguadilla, Arecibo, Bayamón, Carolina, Recinto de Ciencias Médicas (Health Sciences), Cayey, Humacao, Mayaguez, Ponce, Río Piedras, and Utuado. UPRAA also welcomes friends of the UPR educational system and Puerto Rico. In other words…anyone can become a member of UPRAA!! Our By-Laws establishes three types of membership: Alumni, Friend, and Honorary. Alumni members are persons that have graduated from any of the campuses of the UPR educational system. Friends’ members are those who are not UPR Alumni per se but support the mission and purposes of UPRAA. Honorary members are individuals who, through their efforts and merits, have made outstanding contributions to the community.
