Ms. Olga I. Velázquez is a graduate of the school of business administration at the University of Puerto Rico (Bayamón campus), where she was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Financial Accounting. Her diligence and intellect yielded a Masters of Science degree in Information Technology from the prestigious John Hopkins University (JHU) in Baltimore, Maryland. In 2006, Ms. Velázquez was nominated to the UPRAA Board of Directors of the DC Chapter. She is also a member of the Executive Committee at the JHU Alumni Association of the DC Chapter. Currently, she is pursuing a Doctoral Program in Information Systems Management. |
Ms. Velázquez is a Deputy Project Manager in Advanced Information Technology Service (AITS) Field Procurement Office at SRA International, Inc. Throughout her career, Ms. Velázquez has been recognized as an industrious and hard working individual. Over the years, she has been successful in her designated areas of expertise as well as many other areas of endeavor.
For the past five years, Ms. Velázquez has worked as an Adjunct Faculty for Northern Virginia Community College (NVCC). According to Ms. Velázquez, this teaching experience has given her the opportunity to address a diverse audience and “present myself, a woman of color, as a success.” Ms. Velázquez has not just succeeded but rather has excelled in academia and corporate America.
Her hobbies include: traveling, reading, community service, dancing, and enjoys listening to Jazz. |
